Working with me

“I have never enjoyed being photographed, I always feel uncomfortable and can’t really act naturally, but with Louise as my wedding photographer I didn’t even think about it, I could relax and the photos are fantastic! You can tell that she thinks about the whole picture when you see the final photographs, that the background and the environment are just as important as the people. I would recommend Louise to anyone who wants a really good photographer, but especially to couples who want their big day to be immortalized with photos that live up to the memory of it.”

It can be scary, trying to look pretty when someone is staring at you through a lense. That is why I believe in smiles, laughter and just going with the flow.

It is an honour to work with people on their most special day, or on their dream project. It makes the work charged with an energy that I hope shows through the photos, through the film.

It is very important for me to know that you are having a good experience, because otherwise – what’s the point?

I do not just engage in giving you beautiful photographs as a memory but I give my all to create a playful and relaxed working environment while we are in session.

I believe in communication, in you telling me what you want, and me telling you how we can make that happen. It might sound cliché but it takes two to tango, so I am counting on you, as much as I expect you to count on me.

The EPK of my new album Black to Blue is one of my best promotional tools. It’s been sent out to every artist programmer and music journalist in Europe and Canada.Between YouTube and Vimeo the video has had more than 5000 views in a very short time.
Louise Karlund has worked with an absolute professionalism, targeting the important points to put the album forward. The interviews were all quick and efficiently executed. Her language skills also permit an outstanding professional ease. Discretion, efficiency and reactivity are Louise’s strongest assets. She gives advice while keeping her eyes on the artists or the projects goal and is always diplomatic. She brings rewarding ideas, and she is dynamic in the editing process. She mixes her journalistic, directing and editing skills all at once and she does it all with a smile, which is rather rare these days.
It’s been a true pleasure working with Louise; one of the most efficient collaborations I have experienced this far. We all need a Louise Karlund on our teams.

“I wanted a raw talent, an untried talent, someone outside of the box and so I didn’t hesitate, Louise was all that. The photos are fantastic, flirting with your sense of taste and every photo has Louise’s energy”

Lyndon McLeod, mastermind chef behind “Mat för Många Munnar”
